Sip, Savor, and Discover: The Secret Wine Bar Experience

Discover a hidden gem in South San Francisco: the Secret Wine Bar @ San Francisco Wine School.  We're wine geeks, not snobs and we love to entertain!  So this year, we've decided to share our passion for fun and unique wines with our local community in a casual wine bar setting on a regular basis!

New Wines Each Week

At any given time, we have hundreds of different wine selections from all nooks and crannies of the planet in our curriculum and even more in our cellar just waiting for their moment to shine.  This exclusive concept offers an ever-changing selection of these exceptional wines, curated by Master Sommelier David Glancy

A new theme each month will include familiar grapes and regions of course, but you'll also find many you've never tried and others you've probably never even heard of.  We'll also feature some rare and limited pours—available only while they last.  Some good ol' classic varietals, special beer and cider, and Low/No Alcohol beverages we love will always be available too.  Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just dipping your toes into the world of fine beverage, this intimate setting is the perfect place to relax, sip, and connect.

A Word About Our House Wines

At the Secret Wine Bar, our House Wines aren’t some basement bargain hum drum swill.  Our House Wines are hidden gems.  In fact, they’re the everyday wines our owners, David Glancy and Kristin Campbell regularly stock AT THEIR HOUSE.  These guys have tasted thousands of wines over the years and their House Wines stand out as delicious crowd pleasers that easily pair with lots of foods and won’t break the bank.  Come check ‘em out!

Where There's Wine There's Food

Pair your wine with our expertly crafted Nosh Boards carefully designed to complement each theme we select. These delectable boards feature international cheeses and charcuterie, homemade dips, spreads, jams, roasted nuts, pickled veggies, and more.  They're perfect for sharing (or savoring solo).

Enjoy Your Hosts

Each night will be hosted by one of San Francisco Wine School's industry leading instructors and experienced sommeliers, so it's a perfect time to ask questions about the wines or our classes, memberships, and event offerings.  You can bet that San Francisco Wine School founder, Master Sommelier David Glancy, himself will be making plenty of appearances.  Keep your eye out for our special guests throughout the year too!

Bring Some Home

Love what you tasted?  Wines will be available for purchase each night.  Don't see what you need?  Our expert buyers can find almost anything available in the US market and special orders are always available.

This Month's Theme

September Theme - California & The Best of the West

September is California Wine Month, and we're celebrating the wines that define the American West. Throughout the month, the Secret Wine Bar will showcase standout pours from California alongside exceptional selections from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and British Columbia.

Whether you're a lifelong California wine lover or curious about what lies beyond Napa and Sonoma, this month's lineup is an invitation to compare regions, discover new favorites, and explore the remarkable diversity of West Coast wine.

Want to take your knowledge even further? September is also the perfect time to enroll in our Northwest Wine Appellation Specialist (NWAS) program, which runs 9/15 through 10/13. Dive deep into the history, geography, grape varieties, and producers that make Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and British Columbia some of the most exciting wine regions in North America.

Come taste the best of the West—and leave with a whole new appreciation for the wines in your glass.
